Hello, I'm not sure this thread is still active but I have the exact same issue but our machines are nothing alike so I'm thinking is not a bios issue. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
Close the software, restart the computer, and then re-open the software to solve this issue. Anyone know how to fix it?
I just checked Geeks. Windows 7 Hardware Compatibility. Somehow it windowd one of the USB hubs wrong during upgrade I uninstalled the device from device manager the unknown device with the exclamation mark Shut down I detatched ALL usb headers from the motherboard and removed the interface cable to Hauppauge windowa.

Your computer might have an extender board to connect an external IR receiver or an IR blaster cable to send the remote control signal to another device, such as a cable TV set-top box. You might want to check that out.

I never needed to install any drivers.
